Project Reaches Completion

This House Extension and Retrofit project in Wolverhampton has reached completion and just has a few minor finishing touches to be completed including the landscaping.

Originally the ground floor walls were to be retained and be externally insulated, however, when the contractors were negotiating the price it was much more cost efficient to demolish the walls and effectively create a new build house. The benefit of this is that a self build house benefits from 0% VAT across the whole construction cost (with some small exemptions) and in this case the savings made were much greater than the value of the existing walls.
