The Lynch
This contemporary new build on a narrow in-fill plot draws inspiration from the the neighboring properties with a pair of modest double gabled roofs to the front which reflect the volumes of the bedrooms behind and a slim line flat green roof to the rear, creating a very elegant and simple design.
The project maximizes the amount of natural sunlight and daylight at different times of the day placing key rooms accordingly. The highlight for the interior is the beautiful skylights: we have positioned a linear roof-light over the bathrooms and master bedroom, a light-well also lighting the kitchen below, and placed a second linear roof-light above the staircase giving an amazing view to the sky even from the entrance hall.
We also propose window seats in the two bedrooms to the front which protrude to create interest and depth to the façade.
